Practical hand bag planting

Sometimes we go to the store or neighbor. There are only three things we want to take with us: the key, the wallet, the phone. We don't want to take a bag with us for three things, and this is not all of us, so what do you do? in this article I will explain the construction of a practical hand bag for such situations. You can do the same by following the narration and pictures.
Inside this bag has its own key chain ring, an internal pocket for not touching the keys and not scratching the phone screen, and a side handle to fit your arm on your wrist.
In addition, the size of the size to allow easy transport.

It is possible to see all the materials I use in the picture below. Size details as follows:
Back part polka dot fabric 14x20cm
Front part polka dot fabric 10x20cm
Front green fabric 6x20cm
Polka Dot fabric for handle part 8x42cm

Cream-colored plain fabric for both sides 14 × 20 (2 pieces)
Supporting iron on both sides vlieseline 14 × 20 (2 pcs)
Polka Dot Fabric 12x6cm for attaching keychain ring
Polka-dot fabric for pocket (out of pocket) 9x12cm
Cream-colored fabric for pocket (inside the pocket) 9x12cm

3. Other requirements
Keychain Ring
18cm zipper

Planting stages:
1. Ironing the supporter on the inner fabric
We start by ironing the backing materials in both of the cream-colored fabrics that will be in the interior so that the form of the bag does not deteriorate in the future. One side of these promoters adheres to the fabric with the heat of the iron, so it is not necessary to change the iron to this adhering part while it is being ironed, otherwise it adheres to the iron. You can see very well in the light which side this sticking part is.
You can also sew the bag without using the support, there will not be much change in the image.

2.Pressing and sewing of the cord where the button and key ring will be attached
We will double the 8x42cm polka dot fabric that we will use for the handle in the middle, and we iron it, then we fold it back and iron so that each edge is exposed. We cut the small part of the cord in the same way.

We sew both parts as deep as possible.

3. Sewing of the pocket

We put the fabrics necessary for sewing the pocket on top of each other with their faces facing each other and sewing on the bottom as much as possible. We leave a small opening in the part that will remain at the bottom of the four sides. This small opening will help to reverse the piece we planted for the pocket.

We flip the part we carefully sew from this opening and iron it. We fix this ironed pocket part with one of the sides that will form the inside of the bag with the needle, we sew from the bottom rather than the top. We have left open and the bottom part is thus erected and closed.

4. Merging the front

For joining the two parts in the front, we place a green fabric of 6x20cm size on the 10x20cm polka dot fabric as shown in the picture. We need to pin each side of each of the two fabric facing each other.

We're sewing with a 1cm seam.

5. Sewing the key chain ring with the piece we prepared as a bag handle
Parallel to the front of the bag handle the bottom of the green fabric we sew from the bottom. The key ring ring cord is sewn from the edge 3 to 4 cm from the top parallel to the inner fabric we sew.

6. Sewing of zipper
The zipper is turned upside down and sewed as close to the zipper as possible by pinching it from the top as shown in the picture.

Then, the front side of the interior is pinned and sewn close to the zipper, as shown in the illustration, the same operations are applied to the other side of the zipper for the outer fabric and the back of the interior fabric.

7.Sewing the sides

Once the zippers have been sewn, the handle and the key ring cord are fixed with needles. Also open the side of the zipper before you start sewing the bag or the bag will be very difficult or even impossible to turn.

To sew the side parts, it is attached to the edges with the needle as seen in the picture and sewed by leaving 1cm seam share. In the lower part of the inner fabric, 4-5 cm clearance is left, when all the edges are sewn out of this opening, the bag is reversed from this opening and the remaining part is also sewn off and the bag is fixed.

Important note: When sewing the edges, be very careful in the area of the zippers and the needle of the sewing machine can be broken when it comes to the zipper.
